San Francisco Tour Excitement and Updates

Excitement is building as we prepare to leave for our San Francisco Choir Tour tomorrow afternoon!  98 choir students and 5 District 99 faculty members will depart for the west coast to tour and perform in the San Francisco area.  An updated itinerary can be found on the right-hand side of this blog.  Pictures and updates will be posted throughout our tour.  We are happy to have four student bloggers to offer their unique perspective throughout the tour - look for special posts by Emma Rotz (Freshman Choir), Tim Berberich (Concert Choir), Shannon Kennedy (Treble Choir) and Annie Ketchmark (A Cappella Choir).  We are looking forward to a wonderful tour!

District 99 Vocal Honors Recital

Congrats to the students selected to perform at tonight's Vocal Honors Recital. The recital featured students selected from both North and South High School's respective Vocal Festival events held in early March.  Congrats to the following North High Students: Liam Rowley, Elise Cismesia, Tim Berberich, Maggie Maloney, Fred Zimmerman, Abby Huskisson, Zach Ligmanowski, Rachel Davis, Anna Burton, Elizabeth Brunell and the North High Chamber Choir.

Time for the 2014 Flower Sale!

It's time to wish the Polar Vortex of 2014 a fond farewell, and set our sights squarely on Spring!

We have kicked-off the annual DGN Music Boosters Flower Sale, and music families are encouraged to start dreaming of spring planting!

Students received preliminary information today in music classes, and were given the opportunity to pick up order forms.

DGN Vocal Festival 2014

Dozens of North High vocalists are performing today in the annual DGN Vocal Festival. Three distinct performance spaces give our students the opportunity to be heard and coached by professional musicians who are on campus today to serve as adjudicators and clinicians.

Congratulations to all of our DGN Choir students who are performing today, and a special thanks is extended to the private vocal teachers who have helped our students prepare.
