Concert Singers Perform for Santa

Members of the North High Concert Singers treated many to beautiful sounds of the holidays at the 2008 "Breakfast with Santa," hosted by Good Samaritan Hospital. Thank you to our singers for getting up early on a cold & snowy December morning to bring joy to the hearts of many young children.

Chamber Choir Performs at Hillcrest

On Thursday, December 13th, the North High Chamber Choir performed for two attentive and appreciative audiences at Hillcrest Elementary School in Downers Grove. Yesterday's performances were two of the many opportunities that North High choir students have each year to perform at a wide variety of school, district, church, and community functions. We are thankful to be invited to sing for so many different audiences each year, and proud to be able to share our music with others in our community!

Choirs Give More Than Ever

This year, the North High Choirs sponsored four different families (a total of 15 children) from Direct Action's Giving Tree. After collecting donations in the week prior to Thanksgiving, we are pleased to announce that choir members collected a total of $1134 for our families, which is the highest total ever for our groups. Thanks to our singers and their families for your outstanding generosity!

XTension Chords Perform at DGN

On Wednesday, November 21st, members of the Freshman Choir and A Cappella Choir were treated to the wonderful sounds of the XTension Chords, a male a cappella vocal ensemble from the University of Illinois. They were led by their music director Ed Vettel, a 2005 graduate of DGN (great job, Ed!).

ValuCard Kickoff Today!

Thanks to Mrs. Paruszkiewicz for helping us to kick off the ValuCard fundraiser, the first "student account" fundraiser of the year. Remember, the profits that you earn as a result of this sale are added to your student account, which can be used to pay for voice lessons, tickets for the choir recognition dinner, and even next year's choir tour. Now it's time to go out and help ourselves - good luck!
