DGN Choirs welcomed the North Central College a cappella group, Sonata Problem, last week, featuring DGN Choir alums Rachel Davis and Megan MacArtney! What a wonderful example to our students of how music-making can continue beyond high school! Thank you, Sonata Problem, for sharing some amazing music!

The DGN Choirs have had a fun and festive season spreading holiday cheer in the community. From performances at retirement homes and elementary and middle schools to singing at holiday events for local community organizations, our singers have touched many with their musical gifts this season. We are very proud of their hard work and commitment!

DGN Choirs Giving Tree Successes #WeAreDGN #99Learns

Thank you and congratulations to the DGN Choirs, who have raised a total of $3,216 to donate to our Annual Giving Tree! We are so happy to support those in need in our community, and are proud of our students for pulling together in the spirit of giving!

Totals for this years contributions are as follows:

Concert Choir - $600.56 total / $11.33 per person
Freshman Choir - $576.57 total / $21.35 per person
Treble Choir  - $752.42 total / $25.08 per person
A Cappella Choir - $1286.41 total / $25.73 per person

We extend sincere appreciation to all the choir students and families who contributed, and thank the members of our Choir Board who will shop and wrap gifts for the families we have adopted!

Cantare in Concert

The DGN Choirs were proud to host Cantare, from the Soldiers Chorus of the US Army Field Band, this afternoon for a special performance! Cantare is comprised of classically trained Soldier-Musicians from the Soldiers' Chorus, and is committed to performing opera and song for various settings, including educational outreach, recitals, and chamber music shows. These versatile musicians, all of whom are highly regarded performers in their field, amazed our student audience, and we could not be more grateful for their sharing of wonderful music!

Purdue Varsity Glee Club Concert

The DGN Chamber Choir was honored to share the stage with the Purdue Varsity Glee Club this past Saturday (10/7) night.  There were so many great sounds, and a great time was had by all.  We were especially happy to welcome back PVGC member and Purdue senior Erik Jensen to his Alma Mater!
