DGN Choirs Giving Tree Successes #WeAreDGN
Thank you and congratulations to the DGN Choirs, who have raised a total of $2,050.25 to donate to our Annual Giving Tree! We are so happy to support those in need in our community, and are proud of our students for pulling together in the spirit of giving!
Totals for this years contributions are as follows:
Concert Choir - $427.95 total / $8.23 per person
Freshman Choir - $311.30 total / $9.73 per person
A Cappella Choir - $479.10 total / $10.19 per person
Treble Choir - $831.90 total / $26 per person
We extend sincere appreciation to all the choir students and families who contributed, and thank the members of our Choir Board who will shop and wrap gifts for the families we have adopted!

DGN Choirs Host Voice Specialist Lori Sonnenberg
Many thanks to Ms. Lori Sonnenberg, a widely respected speech-language pathologist and voice specialist, for coming to speak to our choral students about vocal health and injury-prevention. Ms. Sonnenberg is highly respected in her field and specializes in helping singers overcome vocal injuries. She is in high demand as a speaker and clinician throughout the U.S., and we are grateful for the opportunity to learn from her! Many thanks to our DGN Friends of Fine Arts for supporting this wonderful event for our students!

DGN Vocal Festival Success #WeAreDGN
Congratulations to the approximately 60 students who participated in today’s Vocal Festival. Students worked with Mr. Ken Donovan and Ms. Yvette Smith, both of whom sing with the Lyric Opera of Chicago in addition to other professional singing and teaching engagements in the Chicago area. Many thanks to our private voice teachers for their wonderful work and dedication. We are so proud of all of our students for their hard work, persistence of excellence, and their beautiful performances today.
